I have been maintaining for years that a parent who alienates a child against the other parent is guilty of child abuse. At best it should be a criminal offense, no different from a parent willfully breaking the arm of a their child. At the least it should be grounds for government agencies to remove the child from the alienator’s home and place the child with the target parent. Of course, neither of these outcomes will ever happen. Parental Alienation first came into view as a tactic used by mothers to cheat children out of a relationship with their fathers. By the turning of this century fathers had become equally guilty of this vicious form of child abuse. Only if mothers stop it and fathers increase it will the feminists join the chorus of serious complainants to have laws created to defend against it.
